Would you mind discussing your wife's journey with bariatric surgery? I'm considering it , and my wife has done it
twice. Had a gastric bypass that didn't work well, and did a revision to a biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch.
It has let to a number of issues unfortunately, just got out of hospital with low potassium, a 2nd stroke this year at
sometime. They don't know when it occurred (in or out of hospital). And having to be put on TPN and that has triggered
high blood sugar, when she had become insulin indepedent after both the surgries.

I'm looking at the Single Anastomosis Duodeno-ileostomy with Sleeve (SADI-S), also known as SADI-S which is less
risky and newer but has good results also like DS.

Hope it has helped her. My wife has lost almost too much weight; as her body is not absorbing things as it should.
They were going to move the "limb" connection while she was in hospital; but have postponed it 30 days due to
    the stroke history.

Sorry. It must be someone else that posted that. My wife is due to get a knee
replacement soon, but no bariatric surgery.

I think maybe I replied to my on POST! :-(

I'm that overwhelmed right now. Sorry for the confusion generated.
