• What happens if an adult eats a lot of honey?

Honey is highly nutritious, with more than 180 different components, including sugars,
proteins, amino acids, minerals, vitamins, and active enzymes.

It can be consumed every day to refill the body with necessary nutrients, which improve
metabolism, increase immunity, and avoid many diseases.
However, its consumption should not exceed 1 2 tablespoons per day.

Honey comprises the following as its major ingredients: glucose and fructose. It contains approximately 35 grams of glucose, 40 grams of fructose, and 2 grams of
    sucrose per 100 grams.

Glucose and fructose are monosaccharides that the body can absorb directly without
    digestion.
Excessive consumption of honey may lead to fat synthesis from excess sugars, thereby
    increasing the risk of obesity.

Honey has a GI of 58. While that is less than that of regular sugar, it still falls within the
high-GI foods range, meaning over-consumption can easily lead to a rise in blood sugar
    levels.
