I did a finger stick and it showed that I was at 86, so I recalibrated the Dexcom
accordingly. Well, my numbers started dropping at a fast rate. I ate an energy bar, ate
several small Reese's peanut butter cups and downed at least 3 sugar pills, but it was
still dropping to the point where it no longer would provide me a reading (probably in
the 30 - 40 range. I actually got to the point where my left foot started to bounce up
and down from shaking, I was sweating and when I closed my eyes I could see a bright
light.
EMS responded quickly when I called and the operator stayed on the line with me until
they arrived. They gave me a tube of glucose to swallow and they even made me 2
peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!
They probably spent around 20 minutes or so with me while they monitored my sugar
level. The crew was a godsend for me and I really appreciate all they do. I know that I
was close to passing out, and my wife wasn't home with me at the time.
That was a close one.

Holy shit man. I'm glad you're ok.
Take care of yourself.
