• Does blood sugar affect your weight?

Yes, it is the blood sugar that is the primary decider of your body weight.

When the pancreas is healthy and able to produce enough insulin, any high blood sugar
caused by food gets systematically stored as body fat to increase your body weight at
every given opportunity. Also when the blood sugar is high often due to say frequent
feedings, the body develops insulin resistance leading to needing more insulin, more
    hunger and higher fat accumulation.

On the other side, the same blood sugar being too high with uncontrolled diabetes (as
the body fails to sense blood sugar) causes weight loss due to the body losing glucose
through urine and the body turning to fat as its source of energy for basal metabolism.

Hence keeping blood sugar in a healthy range is important for having normal body
weight. In fact some CGM sellers advise a range of 70 110 mg/dL as ideal. The metabolic score given by the CGM app lowers the score and shows the blood in red in
graph when it goes up beyond 110mg/dL. On the other hand doctors consider a blood
sugar reading of 140mg/dL as normal 2 hours after a meal.
