Also, I've been a bit disappointed that there have not been any movies made with th
Deep Space 9 or Voyager casts (the exception is that Admiral Janeway appeared in on
of the Next Generation movies). I thought the Next Generation movies went downhill
bit too; I wasn't really impressed with Nemesis.
I am ok not having more from Voyager. The captain of that ship always got to my nerves. I think she was trying her ship never to return home or something.

Although they wanted to get home, if they took the fastest route possible (includin
not immmediately destroying the array that got them stranded), there wouldn't have
been a show to last 7 seasons. :P By the time they decided to end the show, I did
think they ended up getting home rather suddenly and fast. I guess they had to do
that to give the show an appropriate ending, but it just seemed a bit sudden.

I would have prefered it if the ship was destroyed with all the crew due to some or Janeway's usual screwups.

That wouldn't have made for a very good ending either.. :P

And, what if they'd high-tailed it to the other end of the Bajoran wormhole?
Voyager has the dubious honor of nerfing the Borg beyond respectability.

Then there was the species from beyond space who were so evil not even the Borg wanted to deal with them, but then they were turned into kumbaya victims who only wanted a better life. Within the same season.
Can we discuss Janeway and Paris's lizard babies?
I heard even the producers don't discuss that anymore and don't consider it canon.
I still think they shouldn't have abandoned them and used their human
DNA to turn them into Real Children (TM). Imagine the dynamic of Tom
and Janeway being single parents, shared custody, but while also having
to work together and have a commander/subordinate relationship. Plus Naomi would've had someone to play with :D.

They could have done that too. But I thought that may have been a bit
far from them too. I don't remember where that went now - I thought it might have been somewhere in the beta quadrant?

If you picture a clock face, Earth is at 6 o'clock, roughly in the
middle of the face. Voyager was at around 2 o'clock, The Delta quadrant end was around 10 o'clock, a little closer to the edge of the clock
face.

That doesn't make any sense, since Voyager was in the Delta quadrant.
I'm guessing you meant that the far end of the Bajoran Wormhole in the Gamma quadrant was near 10 o'clock. ;)

You are correct, Sir.
It seems conveniently placed so as to not make running for the wormhole
an option. We'd have less Borg and more Dominion stories floating
around.

OMG!!!! I am so OVER people asking this question. Just proves they don't know the first things about the shows OR the universe!
The Bajoran wormhole goes between the Alpha and Delta quadrants. Voyager was stuck in the GAMMA quadrant! Was a shorter flight back to the Alpha Quadrant then to have gone to Delta to get to Alpha! ---
Unless you're being sarcastic, I think you have those backwards.. The other end of the Bajoran wormhole was in the Gamma quadrant, and
Voyager was stuck in the Delta quadrant.
