From Rick Smith@21:1/190.1 to All on Wed Aug 19 14:15:28 2020
    Greetings All!

So I have completed the switch to linux with my mystic bbs (from windows) and
I actually just put it online an hour ago. In watching MIS screen I am noticing that all my fidopoll events now end with a RES 127 when they used to end with a RES 0? As far as I can tell seems to be functioning ok, anyone run into this before? Is there anything different about events in linux version that I missed? I checked all my ini files and they are correct (I think)

Id also add it doesnt look like its doing the poll here is what I just noticed

    Running event: Poll SciNet Γûæ
Γöé 14:05:04 EVENT Cmd: fidopoll 77:1/100 Γûæ
Γöé 14:05:04 EVENT Res: 127 Γûæ
Γöé 14:08:04 EVENT Running event: Poll FsxNet Γûæ
Γöé 14:08:04 EVENT Cmd: fidopoll 21:1/100 Γûæ
Γöé 14:08:04 EVENT Res: 127 Γûæ
Γöé 14:10:05 EVENT Running event: Poll Agoranet Γûæ
Γöé 14:10:05 EVENT Cmd: fidopoll 46:1/156 Γûæ
    Γöé 14:10:05 EVENT Res: 127

Hope all of you are well

I can tell you that mine end with 127, under linux... further than that I'm
not much help, but I always took 127 as good.

I think g00r00 has been talking about just this in the Mystic echo on
Fidonet. Do go there to see the messages, though I'll attempt to answer.

127 is a linux/BASH error. It means that something was not found. Perhaps because of a PATH issue, or because of some other Linux thing.

In this case, probably the two most common fixes are:

    1) To add the ./ in front of the command (to say that it's something
    that should be executed.)

    2) To include full paths to commands, so that you're not dependent on
relative directories or items being in the PATH system environment variable.

Answering a msg of <25 Aug 20>, from you to paulie420, about Re: Linux switch:

Would you happen to know, if it is possible to get mystic windows to resize with terminal windows as it did in windows? This is my first go running mystic in linux and everything has worked out and is running completely smooth except that like MIS screen doesnt fill the window, old eyes need things a little bigger <VBG>

    g00r00 posts in. thanks.

Would you happen to know, if it is possible to get mystic windows to resize with terminal windows as it did in windows? This is my first go

Short of changing the screen resolution, I don't immediately have any ideas.

But it's also a bit hard for me to try things out, since my only Linux
terminal usage at the moment is with servers where I'm working in a Putty window.

It does seem like the only useful echo on Fidonet, at the moment.

what is the correct code? 0?

    Yep.
