I have my system set so that when someone logs in it plays the sound of a 56k modem connecting, but how do I get it so that the user isn't stuck waiting for the 20 second file to finish playing before they can continue on?

The way I'm doing it right now is in the prelogin menu actions with the DD comand running 'play /mystic/56k_mdm.wav'

Is there a better command I can use?

You can have a Python file run that hands the sound playing to another script. That way even the script doesn't wait for it to finish. It's what I have on a couple things on my startup, like my BBS login Pushover notifications and when someone signs up for DoorParty.

    Instructions are in the Pastebin.
