Hi there,
Sitting here, drinking beer, and trying to contemplate what to do.
So I'm thinking, make magiedit use Soft CRs for wrapping, Hard CRs for pressing enter, and have magicka replace softcrs with Spaces.
That would result in paragraphs being one long line, magicka would wrap them for BBS users, as it does with messages from synchronet and other non-80 wrapped message senders, but they would be nicely formated for
those reading the messages on the other end.
I guess this is just an implementation detail: as the soft-CRs are
high ascii, would this work with UTF-8 too? And why using soft-CRs
at all?

What do you all think? I'd like to get back at this, but v0.14 is a
bit much for me.

v0.14 was meant to address the 80x24 character limits. Given that
99.9999 % of people using Magicka BBSes are probably using Syncterm, Netrunner or fTelnet or some other 80 wide terminal, I'm not sure it's worth it.

I think it would just be a matter of checking out v0.13, cleaning
and copying the old strings file over the v0.14 one. When I decide
what to do, we'll call it v0.15 and v0.14 can be that release no
one speaks about. Shh.
