    Hello Apam,

    I have a few files in the inbound now so I am going to try tossing them
    with ticproc before htick gets them.

    What is the keyword I use in ticproc.ini to not delete the tic files?

    I have setup one area now and set the area to passthrough in htick's
    config. I used ticproc to import the file and then ran htick to do what
    it needs to do and it sent that file on to connected nodes. So I think
    this method is going to work as planned.

    Before I ran ticproc I mass uploaded a bunch of stuff in that area and
    the descriptions were taken from the file_id.diz and look good.

    ticproc used the description from the tic, in this case just one long
    "Desc" line in the tic.

    Is it possible that ticproc can also get the description from the
    file_id.diz if it is available?

    It would be good if we could get the description from the .diz first if
    there is one, second from the "LDesc" lines if they exist and from the
    "Desc" line if that is all there is.

    This tic came from a BBBS and BBBS doesn't provide LDesc lines in the
    tics it creates so there was only the Desc line available.

    It's not possible currently and would require a not insignificant amount
    of work. I'm going away tomorrow for 2 weeks, so perhaps something I can
    look at when I get back?

    Yep, that would be a "nice to have thing" but everything is doing what it
    needs to do so.. :)

    I also noticed adding a different area a filename collision because the
    new file had the same filename as an existing file. If the tic has a
    "REPLACES" line maybe ticproc can delete the existing file and then
    import the new one. Also a nice to have thing but nothing I can't work
    with.

    I hope you have a good couple off weeks of and spend time visiting while
    you can.. :)

    just getting going with all this..

    Was the file in the database or just on the file system? It will only
    delete files that match the replaces line that's in the database.

    If you're still having problems, could you send me the tic file? It's
    possible there's a bug in ticproc.

    If you're still having problems, could you send me the tic file? It's possible there's a bug in ticproc.

    No, the old file was in the directory already but it was a new area I had
    added to Magicka so it wasn't in the database yet.

    When adding file areas I'll mass upload what I have first so that
    shouldn't be a problem.
