I'm contemplating pushing out v0.6 tomorrow. I would wait until a week ticks over, but we have a rent inspection coming up, so might not be able to and I'd like to get the bug fixes out.
Been playing No Man's Sky the last couple of days, got stuck into it.
It's a pretty good game.
Also wondering about making my own tosser instead of relying on HPT. It's a nice tosser, will depend I guess on whether I get this bug fix applied. So far it's been rather frustrating trying to get them to acknowledge there is even a bug.
Kind of tired, and a little frustrated, I was hoping to just use HPT, but if they're not interested in fixing bugs...

v0.6 has the full screen reader, it's disabled by default, you need to enable it in your user settings. I might switch that around though.

Can you fork HPT and just bundle the HPT with your fix in place? I
did that with PDcurses and a few other dependencies.
w00t w00t; I like how the colors show up as you write in the FSE- I
bet you fixed it already in 0.6, but when using ||colors the character counts were messing up. Just in case you DIDN'T see that FSE bug...
Will magimail work with Talisman?
I know you code much faster than me, but having a tosser that works
well enough for FSXnet isn't too hard, making it keep the FTN folks
from grumbling is a lot of work :)

Oh I know. I certainly don't care to impress the FTN folks, I guess
that's the upside of choosing squish - if people want to run fidonet,
they can always use HPT. The bug I found isn't game breaking, it's just annoying.
I'm not complaining as I like squish and used it for years with Maximus, but what made you choose it over JAM?

I don't think it supports squish. So, no not in it's current state.
Though it might be easier to add squish support that writing a new
tosser.
I hope that apam can connect with the folks that maintain hpt. That way hewouldn't need to worry about the tosser end of things.
You know apam; he's freaking writing it right now! :P LOL.

I should have mentioned the SMB format also. It is opensource and
future ready although not well known outside of Synchronet. It has the
same easy to use and maintain qualities as squish.
I expect he'll toss out a alpha version tomorrow. LOL
BTW: I like the Full screen reader apam!
LOL. Nah, I have gotten scanning out echomail working, but I'm having
a
break today. Got some beer and popcorn and going to watch netflix :P

Great! It should work with larger screensizes too. Although the FSE
still spits out messages wrapped, I just couldn't get my head around
not wrapping.

So... did you believe that?
Yes I got popcorn and beer, but it's day time and it's hot and stuffy,
and sabrina really needs to be watched when it's dark...... so i did
some more on the tosser...
Not ready for an alpha yet, but I got part way through tossing. I've probably had a few too many to continue now though.

Ah yes, that sweet spot between just enough to be creative, and not too many where one becomes silly. :)
Can't wait to see how the tosser turns out!
