• how - favourites at top of list in chrome

Is there a way to get Chrome to add a favourite bookmark to the
top of the usual dropdown list instead of the bottom?

I am not refering to a Favourites or Bookmarks "tab" at the top
menu, but the actual position of a bookmark added to the main
    list in the drop-down menu.

Well you can set the order of bookmarks, lets say you create a folder in your bookmarks and add it to your book marks bar, then add 2-3 bookmarks to websites etc. to that folder.

Then when you open that folder from your bookmark bar you can hold and drag the book marks up and down to set their order there

You can also right click on the bookmark bar and choose bookmark manager to get a UI to do the same thing.

    Hello Avon!

Nah.. the existing list is already pretty long now. I'm just
trying to research a solution for a friend who has been
bookmarking for a long time already. Personally, I think the
person has so many that the oldest ones don't matter anymore..
but the latest ones are all at the bottom. :(

Then when you open that folder from your bookmark bar you
can hold and drag the book marks up and down to set their
    order there

I noticed that re-arranging can be done manually too.. but the
existing list is way too long to do that for each and every
    bookmark.

At this stage, it seems that History might be the better way
for that person to visit recently interested sites. He
    practically bookmarks everything anyway!

Meanwhile, I learned about a couple of Chrome extensions that
    might work.
