One thing I'm having trouble with is sending messages out now that I have both fsxNet and SciNet on my system. SciNet is running a-okay but fsxNet seemed to stop once I had both of them configured. I'm still receiving echomail okay, but nothing I send seems to work.

BinkD shows the packets are being sent to my hub, but I'm still assuming the error is on my end rather than the hub since only one of us knows
what we're doing. And it ain't me.
If you can share some polling logs of when you sent packets to your HUB I can try and confirm what happened at the HUB if that helps :)
I'm going to give it a bit - I switched back to working on my SBBS
system which already works. ENiGMA 1/2 is really cool, but not yet ready IMHO. I'll probably keep it around as a project system while SBBS is my

I'm thinking it could be something as simple as you sent packets to a HUB but included a packet password with them when none was expected, if so the HUB would have dropped the packets and not tossed them.

Just curious, why do you say it's not yet ready? And ready for what?
Xibalba has been running multiple nets on enigma 1/2 for ~5 years.

I hope this doesn't come off as an attack, it's not meant to be, and not so much meant for you, as it is for others trying out new stuff as well.. help us help you kind of thing :)
Given my general social awkwardness, I still don't know how to effectively leave
feedback to project maintainers without feeling like I'm coming off as ungrateful
Although Enigma 1/2 isn't my project, I know how difficult it can be to get people trying something other than mystic or synchronet, (Although it seems to be getting easier) and although it might not be ready for you yet (and that's cool) it's (a) difficult to know what to improve on, and (b) discourages others from having a go if you don't say why.

I normally hate to leave feature requests/notes on projects because it feels like I'm trying to tell people smarter than me what to do. "(not) ready for prime time" was probably harsher than I meant it to be.

It's up to you of course, I can't speak for Nu, and already feel like I'm standing on his toes a little by writing these messages.

I need a way to manage requests otherwise it's just one offs anytime anyone asks
for something which clearly isn't productive.
Thank you Andrew / Apam. I couldn't (no really) say it better myself.
Anyway, I hope I didn't scare deepthaw away lol ;P

I agree with Andrew here, I am currently running I think 6 or more Nets on Enigma, and no problems at all, in fact because of the way it runs I am building a new system which will combine 2 of my boards into 1 and will carry just about all of the 12 nets I carry on my Mystic board..

I'm only carrying fsxNet, ArakNet, RetroNet, and SpookNet right now. What others might you suggest? Some are not my cup of tea, but out of 12 I'm surethere is something in there that may be of interest hehe
DOVE-Net, Miconet & Sci-Net seem pretty cool. DOVE is a QWK net, but Deon/ alterego may be able to set you up with an FTN feed if you ask nicely.

Oh, not at all. I've been messing with what I (think) is a now working FTNsetup and toying with importing 9,000 tracker modules and looking at how thetags in the database can be used to manage that.
Thats awesome - because I want to see more cool enigma and mystic joints - nothing against synchronet, i'd also like to see more modified sync boards.. but hopefully you'll dig the ability to talk with the dev and make something cool- no matter what software you land on. :P

Nice, that's a lot of networks! Glad it's working well for you!
