Sent in my application. Got pushback for not sending in the entire file (even though the missing lines wasn't for me to fill out anyway). Sent
in the entire file and never heard from him/them again. Smells like Fidonet so I'm not gonna join even if I finally get approved.

A - You cut off the part of the application that I need for record keeping.
That's why it says to send everything between the <APP START> and
<APP END>.
It's not my fault if you can't follow the simplest of instructions.
B - I have yet to receive your resubmission, so once again, not my
fault.

It was sent on december 15th. But as I said - Fidonet vibes so Thanks
but no thanks.
It's interesting that people who BBS would be so impatient nowadays. I
know
things take time, but BBS'ing is the essence of taking time. I mean I
still
emulate my baud rate at 57600 when I login to my local board because anything
faster takes away from the experience. Shoot I've applied to SciNet 3
times
without a reply over the last two years. I'm not upset at all.

What do you suggest I do? Thanks in advance.

Hey Netsurge,
Finally! I've applied on your BBS several times. Both from the login
menu which gave me an error when the app was complete and it again
logged in fully. I also tried to email the application to scinet@diskshop.ca but it bounced back as a bad email. I also sent you
a local mail message at diskshop.ca but never heard back.

Yeah who knows. Netsurge got back to me so I should be setup soon. Have you tried applying via the Diskshop login page? That's where I started
and it threw me an error. I wonder if it was a glitch or not. Sometimes things work locally when you set it up but when someone else tries
things fall apart.
Anyhow, happy to be keeping the BBS renaissance alive.

Unfortunately, a message without context isn't helpful. ;)

The Subject line is the context as I said in my original post.
This thread no longer has anything to do with SFnet.
