I know it is a stupid question but is it registered through John Daily? I know when I first started running it and I was a little upset because I am 99% sure I registered it in 1995 and they couldn't find my registration info, I used a crack on it and it kicked back after a few weeks something about cracking is wrong etc. If it is registered, contact John Daily software and see what they say about that to give you more info on it..

It is officially registered. I've kept the registration info in a safe place for years and wouldn't leave home without it.

Check your cpu time ... it may be ahead or behind the last time BRE was run, thus letting it think you are cheating by turning the clock forward or back to get turns.

You might verify that the date and time are set correctly. I sometimes get
an error message at that point (different one) regarding the date being altered/manipulated. It usually means that something ran, abended, and
caused the system date to be set a day or two in the past.
