gcc (GCC) 16.1.1 20260520
I promise to stop doing this but just needed to get this one out of my system. :::evil grin:::
Still boggles my mind that you compile the compiler so much.
Don't you believe in giving your penguins a break?

Hej August!

The penguins live for this. There is no other reason for them to even exist. Is there?
*shakes fist at the sky* ;)
I do suppose they live to crunch the numbers, indeed.

Haven't done much of that since the f77 days of yore. Also there was
no access to any penguins back then.
Now that I think about it, I am not sure what linux kernel version
boot penguin(s) became part of the grand scheme of things.
I asquired one of these in 2022. Haven't really used it yet.
potential for 16 penguins though!
Havent tried a linux boot yet.

That's a beast alright. I noted the 32G ram limit which for 16 penguins would be my minimum for a system. Is it maxed out?
The only comparable system I have right now is a 8 core (2 threads per core) epyc with 128G of ecc ram, which makes it awesome for building ramdisks. Only a single socket motherboard but more up to date than your xeons.

My best guess would be that it will require a special bootloader. I've never owned a mac before and it is my understanding that they require special treatment. Once it is booted though it should be worth the extra effort methinks.
BTW the url works great on a text browser. I am impressed. I didn't think apple had it in them. Mind you I imagine that is an old page.
The Mac Pro almost makes it the most recent PC that I have!
I don't think I will ever attain a PC with 128GB ram!
I'm thinking of adapting it as my main backup server after I put in
some larger drives.
The last time I checked it is now over 1000CA for the exact same ram
For the record, I found 64G of ddr2 from an approved apple source for 750USD. That will max out the mac pro.
It doesn't *have* to be from an apple source.
