  • The steps Canada is taking now

    Carney, the Prime Minister of Canada, is taking the lead in steps that ensure the US is no longer the center of the global economy. For example, Canada is now seeking rapprochement with Australia, which also already has its share of problems with the US.

    Both countries are resource-rich and too dependent on the US.

    Together, however, they would form an important bloc, because they are very strong in the field of strategic raw materials.

    Carney is going to Australia in March and will address the parliament there. It looks as if both countries are going to sign a trade agreement.

    Carney's speech also really seems to be the key moment where we have moved away from the post-World War II period. The US is no longer the "big brother". From now on, it is simply one of the great powers that must be monitored.
