• Now Colombia Is in Trump's Sights

Trump always thrives on arguments. Now that the import tariffs haven't proven successful, he's taunting Venezuela. The US Navy is firing on speedboats near the Venezuelan coast without provocation or warning.

Unfortunately for a Colombian fisherman, his engine stopped working and he drifted off. An easy target for the Americans, he too was shot out of the water without provocation or warning.

That was quite a travesty for the Americans, so Trump has now launched his political attack on Colombia as well.

The country is now no longer receiving American support against the drug cartels, and Trump has now told Colombia that the US will intervene if Colombia apparently refuses. As if that justifies the murder of the fisherman...

Thus, Trump is backing South America into a corner, allowing Russia or China to do good business there, because those countries are eager for trade and protection. If the US can't provide that, they'll look elsewhere.

For Trump, all of this is a distraction from the Epstein scandal, in which he was frequently mentioned. But hey, if you appoint a sexual assaulter as president, you shouldn't be surprised if you get screwed.
