That's funny! Joe said the same thing. To me it sounds great, but what happens when someone's brake lights are out or something? Can the cops give them a ticket for that?

Yup. Defective equipment. But they probably won't pull them over for that.

Dealerships are already shady enough as it is, and this just empowers
    them even more.

Oh, ya. I didn't realize how shady until I had to get a replacement part for my truck. Since I worked at GM Service/Parts Operation at the time, I was easily able to verify the part number.

So I go to the dealership locally, provide the part number, and they tell me that I couldn't buy it (which is very strange). I had to buy the whole "fixture" instead of the small part that wore away.

So I asked to borrow the phone, called one of my buddies at SPO (i.e. "The head office"), who had me put the dealership on the line. The guy went white. I guess that this wasn't the first time they tried to scam a customer on parts.

But the empowerment is on purpose. A few large companies is much easier for the Elitists to control than a large number of small companies. Hence why during the scamdemic the big box stores could stay open, but the small ones couldn't.

That's stressful. I can't stand dealerships. It's great when you can buy cars privately, and when you can get the parts you need from scrap yards.

It depends a lot on the dealership, and who's employed there. Around where I live, we have a couple of really nice ones with good people. But when I lived elsewhere, they were money-grubbing jerks - then they wondered why no one spent money there.

    Capitalism works.

They think they do. But they tend to treat us plebes are pawns that are moved by someone else. They don't understand that we motivations as well.

They don't make sales every day, so ripping 1 person off puts food on the table for weeks, and there's no need to worry about repeat customers when people are taking 5 year loans to purchase a car - more suckers will come along every couple of days.

But ripping that person off means that in 5 years, he WON'T go back to that dealership - and he tells his friends that they ripped him off. So now there's a bunch of people who won't go that dealership.

So, ya, if the dealership doesn't care about its long term health, they can go ahead and rip people off.

That's one of the big problems with the Left, in general. They treat the non-Elitists as simple robots. Pawns that are moved only by the Elitists. And in every single case, it has come back to bite them. But they still think their policies will actually work - this time.

I think all dealerships have a reputation for ripping people off. I've never had a good experience at any dealership. Their signals tell me to buy my (used) cars privately.

Taco Bell cares more about their long term relationships with customers; they want you to come in for breakfast and come back for lunch. Dealerships are like snakes whereas they eat a big meal and then they're satisfied for several days.

Not all. But far too many.

And businesses evolve over time. I've see many dealerships started by the father that the son has run into the ground.

customers; they want you to come in for breakfast and come back for
lunch. Dealerships are like snakes whereas they eat a big meal and then they're satisfied for several days.

The only different is time scale. After several days, the snake needs to eat again. And if he's driven off all the food, he'll starve.

And Dealerships "bread and butter" is less auto sales, but more auto repair. And that is even more dependent on reputation.

The minority of Americans have fish brains; they bite on the same hook that punctured their mouth just a few seconds ago. Politicians are like fishermen and they're enjoying this.

But if we can bring back mental asylums, most of that minority will be out of circulation (and unable to vote).

Realitically, most people simply want to live their lives, do their hobbies, etc. without gov't interference. The real problem is that there are people who get into gov't who believe that they should control our lives. That's the real problem.

The DC mayor comes to mind: The media is reporting an 87% crime reduction in that city due to Trump's intervention.

Why would the DC Mayor not want this? Because people who struggle with crime are much easier to control.

Why didn't Biden intervene while he was living in DC? The answer to that question is a no-brainer for Democrats (no pun intended.)

At a higher level, because they want people to be so afraid and defenseless that they will willingly give up their freedoms in exchange for "security".

Because he didn't have to worry since had a person security detail 24/7.

Right. When the Democrats feel safe, that's all the matters.

I hope Kamala is understanding about Trump revoking her extended Secret Service protection. That was going to be a huge waste of money for no good reason.
