• Trade deals

Japan took an enormous risk by being the first to agree to Trump's terms. If they hope that this will resolve their problems with the US, I'm afraid they're in for a rude awakening. The EU is currently embroiled in difficult negotiations that aren't going well so far, because the US has no interest in a win-win situation. The US now wants to humiliate everyone and always emerge as the big winner. Typical Trump, in other words.

A trade deal has been concluded between the EU and Mexico. A huge relief for Mexico, which can now head into negotiations with the US with a bit more strength.

Trump has indicated that he wants to completely paralyze trade between the US and Spain. Spain is not really impressed by what Trump says or thinks. The US has deals with the EU, not with individual countries within the EU. Therefore, the US would not be adhering to the EU deal if it excluded Spain. So, for the time being, it seems to be just bluff from Trump.
