mainstream FTN SW which I want to test against.
It's all the same "mainstream" software, just a different zone number
and different netmail routing, is reall all it is.
Not really. I'm not physically Z2-R50 based but mentally, and the FTN SW variety doesn't vary much over here. So, whenever I run my FTN
prototype, it won't catch much SW bugs as if I were, for example run it
on my Z1 node. Well, until the point you can wipe code your own stuff.
In Z2-R50 the majority is on binkd+hpt+golded which is a "golden
standard".
Also, an interesting topic, why would you go underground? I mean, Z>7,
to enjoy the calmness of the dying "official" z<=3 FidoNet as I haven't
seen much of moderatorial and/or coordinators power show off in last
decade. So, what's the deal?
