  • Mystic Email Servers - SMTP, POP3 is working

    Hello All,
    Ok I can see in the logs that the POP3 login is working, I get a success, see that i do login.
    However, SMTP is giving a certificate error:
    Authentication failed. Please check your username/password.
    Server returned error: "TLS Negotiation failed, the certificate doesn't match the host. For more information, goto https://support.google.com/a/answer/2520500, code: 550".
    Not much help from that google support page, it doesn't exist.
    What is the certificate and where is it?

    Baffled.

    Make sure Client/Server Options > Domain name is set then shutdown eerything, delete \mystic\data\ssl.cert and restart. That may or may not help.

    This did help 50%. POP3 works. I can log in and retrieve mail. However I'm gettin a different error now
    from the SMTP server:
    Server returned error: "DNS Error: DNS type 'aaaa' lookup of smtp.mysticrealms.ddns.net responded with code NXDOMAIN DNS type 'a' lookup of smtp.mysticrealms.ddns.net responded with code NXDOMAIN, code: 553
    I think this means that the SMTP server name is not right.
    the POP3 server is pop3.mysticrealms.ddns.net and works. I don't understand why the SMTP is wrong.
