I just saw the trailer for the new Naked Gun movie with Liam Neisan.

I have to admit it looks decent. Is anyone planning on seeing it when it comes out in August?

I wouldn't pay to see it, but I'll catch it when it streams, then I can turn it off without losing anything, except some time.

Well.....

I finnaly did get a chance to sit down and watch it!!

I really enjoyed it, I loved the way they payed hommage to the original actors, especially OJ Simpson.

The only thing I didn't like, was realizing that the P.L.O.T device, was basically rehashing the scenario from The Kingsman. Other than that I would definately recommend the film.

Not sure if I should be embarrased or not.

Reading about The Naked Gun online, it was the writers intent to parody The Kingsman. Which I was not aware of sitting down to watch the film.

I guess I should actually watch the first 3 installments of the francise to see if I can pick up whether those films directly parodied a specific film. I do not remember getting that feeling when watching any of the originals. Though the Zucker brothers were always a lot more subtle with their parodying. IE Airplane being a parody of the Canadian made for TV movie Zero Hour.

I also did not remember Weird Al making an appearence in the other films, which makes his cameo in this installment all the more hillarious!

I do like how this is 'based on' Police Squad and NOT the Naked Gun
previous movies, even though OJ, the beaver, etc. were dirent
tie ins.
