Hello All!

Over the next few days but no later than the 16th October I will be changing ISP to Virgin Media from Plusnet (via BT). The kit has been set up for a few days and I am running some tests with it using a laptop then will switch over the wiring between Routers (so I can maintain the same internal IP addresses).

This involves a change to using dynamic IP addresses whenever I reboot the router so I have set up an automatic on boot process to resolve the current IP address and ensure it is passed up, to link with my url's of applewood.linkpc.net or applewoodbbs.linkpc.net.

This might involve a delay of a hour or two when you cannot get through with a report of the address is not known. Don't worry just wait an hour or so and retry. The estimate of 1 to 2 hours might be over kill and should be a lot less but it has been a few years since I switched over to a static IP from a dynamic so I have forgotten the details :(

The change of ISP will give me an improvement of download speed from 60+Mb to 210Mb with upload at 20Mb or better.

If you notice any other issues say after 20th please advise with fullest details.
