Hi Dave,
We debated getting a Cuisinart but a sale on KA at the Fort Stewart
(GA) PX when we were in Savannah tipped the scale to that one. Also,
using Janis's mixer at the picnic in 2008 convinced us, got a KA Professional. I'd tried our daughter's 5 qt mixer and was less than impressed but the 6 qt Professional is a whole different ball game.
There's worlds of difference between the tilt-head and lift-bowl
Kitchen Aid mixers. Both the KA i gave to Ms. Vicky and my current Cuisinart are "fixed head" machines.
Mine is the bowl lift model also. Rachel has the tilt head; she likes it
but it wasn't heavy duty enough for me.
