    I wonder when kids will discover usenet? You could fill an old iPod or
    old phone with music in record time. :)

    There's a new site called YouTube as well. Music downloaded off of YT
    isn't the greatest quality, but it's free...

    I am impressed by the iPod modding community - seeing iPods with SSD
    storage, bluetooth and new batteries is pretty impressive.

    If only I could mod my Zune...

    yt-dlp, even with the latest, greatest version installed, quit working here about a year ago when I upgraded to Debian 13. There was a known compatibility issue that downloading and installing a bunch of extra stuff was supposed to fix but, to no surprise, it did not. ;)

    It works pretty well here under Windows. Most of my daytime work
    ambient music was scrobbled from audio streams back in 2000, and
    they're 64kb streams. They sound OK, and YouTube usually sounds
    similar.
