The version I have shows this about itself:
-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-CUT-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-
[c:\binkd]BINKD2E -vv
Binkd 1.0.4 (Aug 25 2014 09:23:44/OS2)
Compilation flags: gcc (emx), https, ntlm, amiga_4d_outbound.
Facilities: fsp1035 rfc2553emu
-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-CUT-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-
Does this mean that it will not work with a Binkley style outbound?
Is there someplace I can find complete documentation on its set-up and operation?

That is not the latest version. The latest version is binkd/1.1a-111/OS2 binkp/1.1
Ask Tommi Koivula. He alway compiles the latest OS/2 version.
BSO. I use a patched version of Squish and Crashmail for Amiga style outbound, but AFAIK most common tossers don't support ASO.

The most used tosser over here is hpt and it supports ASO.
I am considering changing from IRex's BinkP server to using binkd
(OS/2 version). There will no doubt be lots of questions, first of
which will be in configuring it to run and do all the stuff that is
built into IRex's implementation of BinkP (like running certain .bat
or .cmd files to move incoming Fido stuffs to their proper
directories, etc.

binkd can create a semaphore file when certain files are received,
which you can then use to start whatever task needs to happen.

It certainly will work fine with a Binkley Style Outbound.
Is there someplace I can find complete documentation on its set-up and operation?
If you'd like I can netmail you a copy of my binkd.cfg from my OS/2 system; it shows how to setup most of what you're asking about.

That would be appreciated beyond words, Andrew. It probably would be
best to e-mail it to me at marc.w@marclewis.org.
