I have been playing around with a FreeDOS VM and Binkd, but am stuck
with an error message.
I try to execute Binkd with the following command line:
15:46 [2026] BEGIN, binkd/1.0a-318/DOS -P 4:801/188 binkd.cfg
!15:46 [2026] sock_init: Permission denied
Is there anything else that might be needed?

As DOS does not have any permissions ... I assume that you are missing the network driver.

DOS does not support networkinf netively.
FreeDOS added something ... but as there is no standard it could be
theat binkd implemented something else.
I assume binkd DOS uses the PKT driver interface.
He says that telnet works, mate. That could be a good port for binkP.
;)
I do not see how telnet working is helping him with getting his DOS BinkD working.
