Hello everyone, Hopefully, there is still some B5 fans active on Fidonet. It's been about 10 years since I watched Babylon 5 for
the first time. It is arguably the best Sci-Fi ever written for television, but the later standalone movies and spin off series

I have a soft spot for B5. I've only ever actually watched the first series...but it was something of a help for me when I first started building up stretches of sobriety from alcohol. Crikey - this is sounding like a heavy post! I had a very happy six weeks off the booze, probably back in 2010. My evenings were spent watching Bablyon 5 and enjoying microwavable curry - in bed. This was after either being at work, or a 10 mile hike. A healthy, happy time crowned with B5. Maybe I'll start re-watching it.

I missed the original post, but a friend of mine is worried that the CW is going to take a crap on B5. Any details on the reboot?

The CW is the Warner Brothers Network. I don't know exactly what it stands for, but that is the network rumored to pick up B5.

The "C" might stand for Columbia, as in CBS.

The CW was the result of the merger of the WB Network (Warner) and UPN
(United Paramount). Paramount is aligned with CBS and, by the time they merged, CBS/Paramount had bought out United. Both networks were founded in
the mid-1990's and merged sometime in the mid-2000's.

CBS/Paramount and Warner are still joint owners, which is why some shows
that started on CBS got migrated to CW when they had a following but were
not successful enough for the "top" network. Now I think they get migrated
    to streaming.

I am ok just watching the original series all over again. It has some great characters and stories. I hope you are doing well.

no need for a reboot, they did it perfect the first time around. I think Ambassador Kosh was my favorite character.

My favorite scene is when Sheriden gets up in Kosh's face about not willing to help fight the Shadows. I forget the episode name.

Ambassador Kosh was my favorite character.

Yea, but if they made a new release at least we'd have a nice 4K HD version to watch, lol.

My favorite was Fall of Night. I love the Narn cruisers, they look awesome and we get to see one and see the Centauri get their asses kicked and deal with the fallout. The wrap up of the President Clark thread is also good.

The standard view is fine. I think after a certain point in the resolution our eyes cannot detect the differences anyway. I do love that old show . Have a great day Ken.
