On my iPad i use Mutter, work fine.
On a mac lime chat.
If not i was using what is pre-installed on puppy Linux.
But i'm far from a power user. Used to be on irc in the 90's, so I remember most of the command line /join /list /quit etc.
don't really use any features on the software themselves. So as far a macro and other features i couldn't tell you much about theses software.

man, this brings back memories, I used to run some hacked over scripts
in mIRC SDfind I believe, thats where I got all my cool tunes as a
teen.
I actually wrote an automated game using mIRC scripting based on Wheel of Fortune. I have it running now on the server... it's called PhrazeCraze.

What is fun now is that all the craze are "bots" in messaging
application. Compared to what was done in the 90's and early 00's it's
old news.
It's sold to people as innovation.

I've used IRC in several different operating systems over the years,
and I still feel like my favorite IRC client is mIRC for Windows.
One thing I've found funny/odd is how some people pronounce mIRC. I've always pronounced it as an acronym, like "em I R C", but I've heard
some people proonounce it for what it spells, "mirc".

Ypou do know Leonardo Di Caprio said that once... and Tom Hanks did
catch him!!
If you ever watch that movie, about 30 minutes into it you'll see Di Caprio walking down the street in NYC. You'll also see a 1964 Shelby
AC Cobra driving down the street. That was my cousins at the time. :)
Plus you're down in Oz and winter is coming... we're just getting
finished with it.. :)
Good point but the bots of these days are more interesting? I wasn't alive in your days (most likely) but I think some bots have innovated like those, for example, that send commit messages everytime there is a new commit to a Git repository.
Is that what you guys had back then or similiar in terms of possibilities
of bots and their features?

because diversity is good. i like bill's irc server the way it is, and i like mine the way it is.
over time i gravitated towards a group of friends being on
the server because bbs people would drop in for help and then just leave when they got what they wanted.
you dont have to connect everything, especially when we're all connected on the internet.
