That sucks about Winamp, because I used to broadcast my live podcast
show through their servers. I usually used to re-broadcast all of the time using Winamp. Any suggestions on something similiar?

Run your own server... Shoutcast and Icecast are easily setup and you can still use winamp as your streaming source.

Looks like Shoutcast.com is still up, they're still accepting my
stream's info, and Radionomy bought Shoutcast and Winamp. Things may be going on a bit longer.
Radionomy is adding 50,000 streams to their current 6,000 streams. Good news for them!
There are many more shells out there that provide Shoutcast as well... it's not dead by any means.

I liked having my system listed on Shoutcast, but for the life of me
don't think I ever had someone listening to my streams who found it
from the shoutcast listings.

What in the world is going on? I thought Winamp was owned by Nullsoft, some private company run by a few programmers. I never realized they were owned by AOL, let alone bought out by another company.
Oh that reminds me, Google Play sucks. I need a new music player for Android. I know what I'm downloading now!
aol bought winamp in 1999
winamp was bought out last year by some belgian company.
the winamp.com site and all the files were announced to be taken down by aol, but that never happened.
