Hi All,
In a week I will be leaving to work in a Military base for the summer. They provide an RJ45 wired internet in our dorms to hook up our personal laptops. However, policy is that NO WI-FI is allowed.
I would like to bring my iPod touch 4G iOS tablet. It's not jailbroken and I would like to keep it like that.
Is there anything I can use to connect the internet to it, or at least, access
my Laptop's USB drive to watch a movie or two?
Thank you for any suggestions.

They provide an RJ45 wired internet in our dorms to hook up our personal laptops. However, policy is that NO WI-FI is allowed. There are devices to hook up to your laptop that provide wi-fi. If you have
one not identify its self, you may be able to get away that way, but
technically if the policy says no wi-fi's that would still be against the
rules... So failing that, the only solution would be if the data cable
would allow them to get internet that way.

I am not sure but perhaps you can use your iOS devices usb cable and itunes to connect the device to the internet. thats kind of how you tether your laptop to the iOS device to get internet the other way. I havent tried it because my apartment is wireless. you have an interesting situation. Good Luck,

Nope, there is no wired network connection to iPad/Pod, gotta go in wireless.
I'd say the ONLY way is to connect your notebook and use the wireless adapter as a shared internet connection. Connect your iPad to the notebook via wifi.
Problem is if the military is a stickler for rules, and they might be, I dunno... I'd say you've basically just violated the no wifi rule.
You mentioned jailbreaking, but I'll stop ya right there, even though jail breaking is easy to remove, it won't help you in this situation. the ipad can only get network data via wifi or celldata.
I'd say the safest option would be to sell all your Apple iPads, and get a Windows Tablet. The USB port on a Windows tablet supports attaching a Network->USB adapter for wired network connections.

Best of luck, keep yer head down.
