  • 20 meters is hopping

    Hi Gang,
    I'm sitting on the 20 meter band (PSK) right now and the waterful is pretty active with openings into most parts of Europe. I sit on 14.070 and run 15 watts into an indoor homebrew fullwave loop antenna.

    Anyone else active on the digital modes?

    Hey Terry,

    I get on the digital modes every now and then. I use a Yaesu FT-900 and a homebrew interface. Haven't used the digital in a while....guess I need to crank it up one night and see who's on the waterfall.

    Hi Allen,

    Reviewing that post of mine I ment to say 5 watts :)
    20 meter is pretty active this morning here in South western Ontario
    but the band normally quiets down after 8 pm local time.

    I have noticed a couple of local hams here in the city using psk on 20
    as well. Unfortunately they seem to be over driving their radios as
    the waterfall passband from their signals is pretty bad. Wish folks
    would learn how to properly setp the soundcard and not to drive the
    transmitter into ALC. :(
