I agree, but often when I go onto IRC these days, it feels like a ghost town.. Sad, really.

Not sure when you go on there, but it's usually pretty damn active when I get home from work in the afternoon.

I guess it depends on the channels you chat in. The IRC channels I used to chat in (around 1995-2000 or so) used to be very active, but now, very few people are in there.. Some of the channels aren't even around anymore.

Aye, same here. It's just not like ye good olde days...

The bbs-scene IRC network does have a pretty active bunch of
users and sysops, however it's mostly BBS-related discussions I've run into. Good chaps tho, mostly.
