I've been going out to their site (www.doormud.com) get get maps, info, etc. I suppose they took down their site.

Yeah, I tried to register it for you here, but the guy refunded my $20 witho a word of explanation. I'm never shocked when that happens, but still . . .

Actually, I just did a whois lookup on Door MUD & emailed the
programmer (evanelias@yahoo.com) to find out what's up.
I'll post here if/when I find out.

Definitely. I'd like to know as well.
Well, after an EXHAUSTIVE search I was able to find a mirror-site for Door M (http://dmud.thebbs.org/).
Since after speaking with the programmer through email & learning that the g is no longer supported, I took it upon myself to download and zip up the ent site & the binaries.
I was going to upload the zipped html here (electronic chicken) through Zmod but I don't know how to make the transfer.

If anyone anywhere wants a copy of the site and/or binaries, let me know.

your term program, but if your having problems with uploading via telnet,
login via web or ftp and send it that way (actually a bit more effiecient
I think to use ftp, but....) use
ftp://"your name":yourpassword@roachguts.com/
To login to the ftp server using your user name and password from your brows or just visit http://www.roachguts.com/ and you can create an account, go to the file areas, upload, etc. In fact, I'll try to setup a file area for you to put it in under main2 I believe it is (for my 2nd hard drive)
This is a follow up to the conversation we had via node chat on Monday.
I can't promise anything, but I will at least consider hosting the DoorMUD site for archival purposes. Is there any way we can get the approval of the original developer?
from what I can remember evan was/is a cool dude, maybe with the right coaxi someone can get him to release a keymaker and put the software out as vaporware.

I don't know. I think I told you that echicken told me that he tried
to register it & the programmer sent his money right back to him.
Maybe try emailing him? His email is evanelias@yahoo.com (oh, and I'm
not giving out someone's private email. It shows up on his whois lookup)...

That's what I was hoping. Dunno if I'll play it anywhere else right
now tho. I've got two games going already...but then again I keep
running out of monster fights before I want to quit, so...

Thanks Rass. I'll give it a shot.
