I recently purchased a used 17" Mac Book Pro with an i7 off ebay for $700 and its the best laptop I've ever owned. I have a Lenovo laptop as well but
nothing beats OSX for speed and reliability IMO.

I have a friend that wanted to leave the Apple ecosphere, so I traded him my Dell Laittude 14 for a mid-2011 <acbook Air. All I had to do was replace the battery and this thing is AWESOME.

He's very happy with my (his) Dell, and I love my MBA. Everyone is happy :)
