When you click on what? you have not provided enough information to offer any tpye of help.
here is a quick addition of file areas in SCFG
SCFG > File Areas > (INSert) to add group > LIBname long > LIBname short ; Click on libname you just added
Create internal code prefix eg: MAIN for main
Add ROOT dir where file areas preside in PARENT DIRECTORY
if you are using shareware cd's or FILES.BBS, or any other type of file listing, or even import raw file list you can IMPORT AREAS
otherwise click on FILE DIRECTORIES
INSert to create new file area
Add DIR long name, then short name;
internal code suffix, eg: test, would then create INTERNAL area of MAINTEST;
add directory file is in UNDER parent root directory you added earlier, eg:
test/
That would create the file area under /main/test/ or C:\Main\Test\
Now click on file area you just created;
Set Exemtions, Restrictions, Etc..
Now save, and use ADDFILES.EXE under /sbbs/exec/ ; use addfiles --help for assistance.

Your firewall is most likely blocking it. You not only need to have port 21 open but you need to figure out how to open ports for the passive part as well.
