    Is there a MajorBBS forum somewhere? I'd be surprised if you get any help here on a message network built by and for Synchronet sysops. But good luck on that. :)

    yeah there is, but you cant sign up for it anymore.
    they wouldnt be happy with helping him get what he downloaded working anyways. ---

    well some people are crazy about major mud but i think they are mostly scripters tying up resources.

    i did have a majorbbs running and i gated from datastream, a bbs with a lot of gamers. not many people checked it out despite the fact that mbbs4ever comes with all those games.

    the guy who claims to own majorbbs doesnt want people using it, but i'm not so sure he even owns it legally. lot of bullshit in that situation.

    in a dos window, or dos. run bbsdmod, err or something like that.
    unlink ALL the internet stuff. then in config change your ports to null or something else.
    bbsdmod is a debuging tool to see which modual is crashing the system
    MAjorbbs and worldgroup are Multi-line, not Multi-node systems.
    basicly like server software with all the moduals in it.

    not sure if the majorbbs games run with wg, though.

    my buddy bought wg back in the day. he really regretted it.

    they dont.
    mbbs uses different dlls
    you will know when you have the wrong lib on it, it will freaks and exit
    with some nice coded messages.

    it needs to run in dos. it was written on a 286 for gods sakes.
