I've heard some commercials recently saying Kodak has some inkjet printers ou>now that use inexpensive ink.. That might be something to look into.
My experience is that the more you pay for the printer the cheaper the
ink is. It has nothing to do with the actual cost of the ink of course.
They just make the cartridges fit just the one printer and sell those cheaper since they've already made their money on the printer sale..
I've noticed it in printers by the same manufacturer. A plain black
ink cartridge for a $39 printer was over $40 and the same one for their
$300 printer was about $23..
Also, hard to say if this is B.S. or not since I can't test it myself..
(I just have a laser printer) ..but recent commercials by H.P.
I believe said that their ink lasts 60% longer than cheaper inks.
Obviously a shot at refilled and refilling cartridges but I'd wonder
if they could say that if there weren't at least Some truth to it..

That makes sense.. I always thought ink should be fairly cheap, and I wonder>if it really costs enough for the manufacturer to make the ink cartridges for

I just don't do ink printers... Color laser printers have gotten really well>priced in the past couple years, still a lot more expensive than inkjet, but
