I liked the concept of Ingress, though these sort of games don't yet fit in with my lifestyle. Anyway gameplay would have to be opportunistic, adapting to my regular movements, rather than my movements being for gameplay. :)

Ingress and Coderunner for IOS were great lunch hour games for me -- could easily put them to rest after 3 minutes or so and created a nice diversion while getting out and getting some steps.

Some Ingress players drive around in a car to the various locations. My favorite method was to park on Main Street and just start hiking all around
the city. I could easily get several miles of walking in and have fun playing also.

That would work. My issue is a lot of commitments, and also a lot of sport training. Both affect the intensity and duration of walks I can do (in different ways). :)

Yes, even for walking, using a phone makes a difference. I go from 8 min/km or faster down to around 9 minutes/km when concentrating on the phone. But my more important training is much more intense. For example, here's today's track session - at these speeds, it's hard enough to operate a stopwatch, let alone a phone! :)
