    This is exactly what I hope to do as well... I'd LOVE to setup a radio so I can connect to my board via packet radio. Another way of doing this

    SO - that is what is causing the beeps and boops on the ham hand set I got. What you speak of sounds like a good idea, when you have a licence to use ham.
    Obviously, when you said raido, I first I LISTENED for voices, now I know an other use for ham.
