Well it looks like the Long Gun Registry has been scrapped due to a vote in the House Of Commons YEAS=159 NAYS=130. I guess anyone can buy a gun now
and shoot someone and the RCMP won't do anything about it because they
won't know who owns it.

The RCMP never did know. Everyone I know who has shot someone else has done with either someone elses gun or one that is unregistered.
The RCMP having a list of everyone with a .303 within drivable distance wouldn't help in the slightest in the places I'm from.
Seriously, I'm unaware of a single case that the long gun registry helped solve. I'm open to viewing a list though and judging the value of the progr based on that.

How does a MP get away stating in the House Of Commons that he has never registered a gun in his life and doesn't plan to. His name is James Bezan and said it yesterday on CPAC around 2 PM PST.

Maybe he doesn't have a gun?
I'm not sure who he represents... some provinces refused to enforce the registry. Perhaps he represents people from there? If he represents people who have done the same thing, I'm fine with that... though he should have sa something while fighting the bill, not after the fact to get a bit of publicity.
He does have guns in his possession but he denounces ever letting anyone know he did. Well now they do... LOL! :-P

Sounds like we are going back to the old western days.
