I expect it'll take a week or less for the new IP addresses to be configured on the various mirrors, secondary DNS server, etc., but
when it's all said and done, we will all benefit from a major
improvement in bandwidth here at Vertrauen (Synchronet and DOVE-Net
HQ): an 8X improvement in my upstream (from 512Kbps to 4Mbps) and a
10X improvement in my downstream (from 6Mbps to 60Mbps).
I'll post more details as I have them,

God's gift to BBSing says: That should only take you an hour, tops. Maybe you should stop running your BBS like the rest of the fly-by-night sysops! :D :D :D
On a more serious note, thanks for the head's up. :)

I'm sure you'll enjoy having the extra internet bandwidth in your home.
And it will definitely benefit us other sysops too. :)
No problem. I'm excited (and my kids and wife are) to be getting a
major improvement in bandwidth. The currently scheduled install date
is Jan-22 (next Wednesday).

Just think, soon all your Comcast Xfinity(tm) crap will come out free of any lag or delays while everything else will be blocked or run like shit unless you pay extra for the priviledge of "Premium" Internet, because America is out of bandwidth, and we have to throttle you because you know, what do those Korean's know with their 40gbps connections for less than our 40mbps connections. They have g's, we have m's, and m comes after g so we're better.
