Great to be back, thanks for the replies..
Got DOVE_net setup now.. does anyone have a write-up for Synchronet BBS to setup Fidonet, what mailer to use, mail tossers, utilities, etc..
Can you poll fidonet hubs/nodes or the NC via the web now similar to how we are connected to DOVE_net?

Just need to get started on the basic setup, I'll re-learn the rest. :)

I got setup with Radius pretty easily, documentation is sparce, honestly now that it's running I haven't touched my mailer in ages. I'd google search for Synchronet Fidonet or something like that.
I would go to fidonet.org, find the good old policy4.txt file, refresh yourself
on the basic knowledge, and figure out who is your NC. Pointdexter Fortran is
my uplink, he's at 1:218/600 I think he maintains a fairly large swath of Fidonet boards, and he's on this network often.

for region 19 and the hub I will be uplinking to in net 387.. and got everything else setup as far as mail tossing and polling.. just waiting on a node number.
Everyone has been really helpful!
Uh, 218/700. You're /600. :)

I'm regional coordinator for Fidonet region 10, and virtually all of the nodes
poll for mail from me using BINKP protocol. It's like the old dial-up protocols
but runs over a TCP port.
There are a handful of mailer programs out there. Binkd seems to be the most featureful program (and cross-platform Linux/Windows) out there, Argus/Radius/Taurus are all similar projects to create a Windows GUI mailer.
One might also check out D'Bridge www.nickandre.com. It is at version 3.97, suns in a DOS window and ties in with Binkd. Version 4, due out around Christmas or the first of 2014, will be multi-platform, including Windows and Linux.

Offtopic, do you have a how-to to get d'Bridge working with Synchronet/Sbbsecho? I was debating moving, but I'm being really lazy
and am kindda hoping someone has a starting point to help with transitioning.
