So I find it somewhat amusing that I am bringin the ol' bbs back online and i'm trying to go out there and get all my door games back, and i noticed
that sunrise doors now offers free registrations..

I send off for the free regs and i get them back from Al fairly quickly, but because i had registered a game (back in the day) i am going to have to
pay him to send me the registration code for that game... Does that seem sort of odd? The one game from him i paid for, i'm going to have to pay
again to get my code when if i had never paid for the game, i would have received it for free?

Something doesn't seem quite right about that...

THat does sound odd. Can you friend Johnny McFakeName request a reg? :)

I unearthed a 1.44 floppy with Global War on it, but couldn't find the reg. Emailed the current owners of the game and they were able to dig up the reg for me.

I went back and read his original message about the door being offered out as free... he didn't give any options.... kinda like Obama did when he said you can keep your old insurance plan period....

yeah, I'd just register under a fake bbs name, or just ask nicely if he can release your old reg codes "for old time sake", or just drop em and pick up something else.

I inherited the BBS from Dave Toy who was the original owner of Hard Drive Cafe. He was originally running WWIV when he was a dial up bbs back in
1991.

I wonder where Dave Toy is these days. Last time i heard from him he was having some health problems. Hope he is doing well.
