Heh, at least you can ANSI draw! I can't. For the ANSIs in my latest wcCODE script I borrowed the ANSIs from the AgoraNet info pack. They actually ended up working quite well, btu now just need to get ride of the crappy looking stock WINServer ANSIs that Santronics throws in.
I happen to like inverted crosses and things that deal with the geotia and lesser keys of solomon. I have been in mystery schools for years.
I wanted to have the eastern star as a main menu with the two pillars seperating the menu lists (named jacob and boaz) with the star pointing to t east... I can't do that because people in my family don't read history books They do no know that the star pointing to the east is not satanic. Satanism addopted this symbol in the 19 century.
So my theme is masonic in origin. It is based around the knights templar, an king solomon's temple. Thing is the catholic church ruined the sacred symbol by calling them satanic...That missinformation is still going on today...As can see when my mother flipped out over a few things...I am trying to keep i clean as possible children do get on my bbs and play door games and my famil does too. All are traditional christians who don't read into the texts and assume the worst.
ask me, to appropriately symbolize the theme of your BBS without offendingI agree I have some good ideas now..
the naive and uninitiated.
HEH..... What kind of theme are you going for? Give me some Ideas and I can ->draw you something cool! just let me know what you want I can give you a few ->things to choose from if you need them...lol
I can actually draw ansi!!! I Used to suck back and got my stuff from art ->packs
but now just by drawing it, screwing up, drawing ansi again...Finally I ->started to get to were my stuff looked real good. like acid art good! lol let ->me know if you want some help with the ansi. I am more than willing to help ->those who need help.
Well, an outer space theme would be nice or maybe even something to do with a river, just not sure, since the address of the BBS is bbs.rivernet.us and the name of the BBS is Omicron Theta.
Ok I got ya! I will see what I can come up with. I saved your bbs to syncterm
so I can return...I will try to send you the ansi via your bbs.
So you want rivers or something to do with stars huh? Well give me a few days
and I will draw up a few things and you can direct me from there. I don't want
to draw something (take all the time to draw it) if you are not going to like
it. No offense but you see what I am trying to say? I will throw a few ideas with a few snippets of ansi and you can tell me what you like and what you don't. That way you get the ansi you want ;)
Cool! Thanks! And yeah, I can understand that, so no offense taken :)Let me know if you get stuck on piece of ansi you can't seem to get quite right. I have been there sometimes I even put all my ansi's im not happy with in another folder and slowly modify them until they look good. Sometimes ansi art can be easy other times, not. I think it is because of the characters we have to use to draw ansi. They are very big and square....Hard to make something round out of a square block lol.
I am planning on TRYING to write an ANSI art gallery for Wildcat! here
to see how it turns out and maybe even release it, but I don't know yet.
I consider myself a fairly good modder when it comes to WINServer (wcCODE/wcBASIC is one of the easiest scripting languages to learn and indeed one of the most powerful in my opinion), so it should not be too terribly hard. :

Did you try Pablodraw? I didn't think I was much of an ANSI artist, but I can
draw decently with PD. Supports Ctrl-A mode as well so real easy to edit synchronet.asc files.
Problem I had with ANSI was that the tools were just hard to work with.
I just started using PabloDraw, if you look around there's beta versions (higher than 3.1.3 which is the current version online) Pablo draw will correctly read/edit Ctrl-A files (Synchronet .asc files), but you have to click file > Open from the file browser, select the file and choose CtrlA from the file type menu or it won't display correctly. Once you see the
file as it's supposed to look then click edit to change it around.
Check out the wiki.synchro.net for a page on Ctrl-A codes and @ Codes that'll help in your design.
Have you realized all the neet stuff these ctrl-a codes can do? also @ codes as well, It would be cool if we could write baja and js straight into the ansi art. It pretty much can handle a lot of things that can be
