Well, the signature worked. When I saw the tagline wasn't there I realiz
had forgotten to upgrade Synchronet to be able to utilize this feature.
Let's see if it works now.

Wheres the new sig? Does Synchronet use pipe color codes in messages
or sigs? It would be cool - but i have a feeling you are restricting yourself with using a color sig due to the fact that not all bbs
softwares support pipes. But deep down i know tyou want to. Throw
caution to the wind and ride on the wild side where your destiny
awaits. FREE THE COLOR SIGS POWER TO THE PEEPLERS

Synchronet related). And while Synchronet may use pipe color codes if you enable them, I haven't used colors in my sig for years already. Only a few softwares support it, or support other forms of color codes specific to
the software. In the editor I'm using outside of the BBS, it isn't supported, so I don't use it. *shrug* I've just gotten used to not using them. :)
This line was typed in yellow (WWIVnet color code).
Been awhile since I did ANSI pipe colors and not sure how they would look in my editor, but I do see other's sigs with the colors here in WWIV.
Showed up here as plain text (uncolored), so my only guess would be that WWIV is stripping those codes before exporting.. which is probably a good thing seeing as though most other software doesn't support WWIV colors. :)
They show up here in color as well. I just haven't used them in so long I haven't really had an urge to. :)
We used to have a really cool WWIV networked message area called "TheFYI, Mystic 1.10 already has a FSE draw mode...
ANSI Art Gallery" which had nothing but cool ANSI pictures and other assorted things in it. Would be cool to have something like that again.

And it won't save in color.
That is what I figured. I'm almost certain that WWIVTOSS strips all
the WWIV color codes out when they are exported. That is a good
thing, as you would probably see a heart code and it would still be uncolored since those are proprietary to WWIV.
I don't remember how to do them, but assume it is possible in my
editor over here.

That was just my sutble why to get a old WWVI sysop to look deeper into Mystic, without letting the whole cat out of the bag. At least until their hooked. Anyway, it's cool that WWVI boards are still alive...rock-on dude. With g00r00 lurking, maybe the (save in color) and other killer options
are also in the works, for the die-hard mystic fans.
You could try posting an ansi in AGN_ART if you wish, and see if it
displays properly on other systems. I know it won't for anyone using
GoldED or any of the other sysop editors out there, but I would think some BBS packages would support it other than WWIV. I'm sure Mystic and Synchronet can both handle it.
Having networked "ANSI gallery" message bases was exactly what I was going for back when I did this in Mystic 2. I was even working on things that would be able to automatically build art packs based on messages posted...
I had a bunch of really cool/unique ideas.
I'm going to check right now, but I think I still have that message area configured on my system. That shows you how long this BBS has been around. I couldn't bring myself to delete the old legacy message areas. I still have messages dating back to 1992 or so.
I'll have to log in and see if there's any that I posted for my old board. :)

That is the first ANSI art I have seen in a message area is many years. That bit of ANSI is better than anything I could draw... :)
With WWIV, you can load the .ANS files into the message. That is how I used to do it many years ago. Basically, someone would use TheDraw to make them and do a //UPLOAD to import it into the BBS memory for posting.

All this has re-sparked my interest in ANSI, so I'm going to try and
fix WWIVTOSS to export the ANSI properly using it's translation table - which I had commented out in the source due to it causing other issues with standard text. Will see if I can get that working and hopefully
send over some tests here later today.

Would this be a future addition to a new version like 1.52?
... Gone crazy, be back later, please leave message.
