That said, I haven't seen this software in action yet I don't think. You got th s thing live yet where I could check it out?
Sure do. Port 2023 over here at tinysbbs.com Still a work in
progress but I'm slowly making it look like my BBS and changing a few things here and there.
I'm going to forward your message to him now just so he can check it out. I really like how easy it is to change things.

Excellent! Keep up the good work!
I've started my latest adventure with Mystic once again on the new
server. Nothing really to report yet just that it's installed and configured. Haven't jumped into the menu and/or prompt editing yet,
but I only installed it Friday and then left for the weekend Saturday morning. ;)
Thanks. As I mentioned, I wasn't completely sure if the double PATH
thing was the software itself, but at least that software is still
being developed in which something can be done there at least.
I'm guessing you were sending from Magicka as a point to your Ezycom system as the boss node?

again and you are right, so I've fixed it in git (the replyid thing).
still a bit of a black box to me, I will have to see if my other
points are doing it too.
I'm the maker of MagickaBBS.. Thanks a lot for finding those bugs :)
The message code has been in there for ages and no one had picked up
on it before, so I'm glad you found it. I had to look up the specs
again and you are right, so I've fixed it in git (the replyid thing).
As for the path being twice, my crash mail fork does that, (i changed
a few things and changed the name to avoid confusion) but much of it
is still a bit of a black box to me, I will have to see if my other
points are doing it too.
Thanks again for your help
Got your trailer all packed up? We did ours last week so now the
long
7 months without a place to hide starts. :(
Correct for right now. Once I have a couple more things working
here, and Nancy has had a change to beat the heck out of the offline
mail system I may be flipping the switch to Magicka for everything.

Nope. Since the weather outlook is pretty good, the campground owners
are extending the season till the end of October. So we have a couple
more weeks to enjoy before winterizing and closing everything up. ;)
Never thought we'd see the day you turned off Ezycom. LOL

They normally let Andrea and I push the season a week or two as
well, but this year we didn't ask I was ready to winterize it. Been having some issues at work and need to spend much more time there. :(

I still love it, but the hardware requried for me to keep a DOS BBS
running is getting out of hand. I am ready to shut down that
computer
and just switch to a small simple easy to backup raspberry pi full time.

We just traded in our travel trailer for a 5th wheel a few weeks ago.
Due to our son's soccer tournaments and games filling up our weekends we've only made it up there twice, the day we got it and this past
weekend (for only one night). So it'd be nice to get up there a couple more times to get everything squared away before having to close it
all up.
Understood. Consolidation is a great thing these days. ;)

For more room? That's what we want to do as well, just haven't had
the cash, there is a nice one across from our lot for sale, and I'm
hoping they come down by spring. :)

Yes very true. I already miss mine because it's a get away, just
nice to get away from the stink of the city. :)
I've just got Fidonet, Ilink, and Retronet to add to Magicka and
once that's done I /may/ be flipping the switch.

Pretty much. It has a lot more actual living space (living room and kitchen with a half bath, master bedroom and bathroom upstairs). The
travel trailer we had, had a huge bunkhouse for the kids who while
they played in it quite a bit, never really actually slept in it. So
why have it when the wife and I can enjoy more amenities for
ourselves, rather than cater to kids that don't give a shit.
Yeah. If we don't have a ton of crap going on on the weekend, we don't
do much at all and sit at home like hermits. I'd rather be camping. ;)
The only thing I dread is moving 100+ FTN links over to a different configuration that you can't just import an old config and everything
is there. lol
Sounds like the best idea. The kids will eventually stop coming
with you on the weekends when they would rather hang out at home with friends.

Even just entering the areas so they are ordered the way you like is
a ton of work. That's what's taking me the longest. But I just pick
away a bit at a time, no rush.
Exactly. As soon as you rush yourself it becomes a burden.
Quoting Accession to Tiny <=-
Should still be quite awhile for that to happen, and even if they
decide to come up at that time they may even want to sleep in a tent
out in the yard. ;)

True enough. My kids are both in their twenty's and I have grand
kids now. It's hard for me to remember not everyone is as old as I
am. ;) (and I'm only 44! - just started early)

I'm 36 (I think). My oldest is 9 and youngest is 6 (7 in a month and a half). I have time. Just hope I can enjoy life with them till they're
old and have families of their own.

Not going that route this time. I've failed too many times in the
past. Now that I have solid hardware, I'm taking my merry ass time and doing it right!

I'm like Tiny, kids in their 20s and kids that are 17 and 14 ... how
on earth did that happen... wait don't answer that :)

I swear I was 18 just the other week.... Now my baby girl is 26 and
I can't figure it out, it's a real head scratcher.
