I'm trying to get downloads working with Impulse BBS. For some
reason, "sz" works (partially), but "sexyz" doesn't at all. Here's what Syncterm says while trying to initiate a download:
"
Sending ZRINIT
Warning: recv_raw: Cancelled remotely
Warning: recv_init: Received 16 instead of ZFILE or ZFIN
Hit any key to continue...
"
Can anyone make any sense out of all this?
Netrunner (SDL) also tries to download, but it isn't quite as verbose
as Syncterm is.
I'm not sure what that is all about but if your setup is telnetable I could try with minicom and/or nodespy and let you know what I see on my end.
Thanks. I tried NodeSpy. No difference. You are welcome to try Minicom, though. The BBS address is "catch22bbs.com" port 26.
Ok. I figured it out. Impulse creates a file in its directory called "fi.lst". I found a nifty little program called "uxfer" which is
basically a wrapper for sz and rz. I passed fi.lst to that program, and
it works. Thanks for all of your help. I appreciate it.
Glad dyou figured it out, I was just about to have a look. I likely will at some point anyway.. :)
My internet (and phone and TV) has been down the last 2 days or I would have been there sooner.
