When was the last time you actually enjoyed watching US news of any kind?
It's been a shit storm for so long I can't say I really ever enjoyed it.
The levels of vitriol increase every week here in the US.

You're probably not looking for a serious answer, but sometime in the early 2000s. These days I prefer to cherry pick articles from headlines that interest me from a variety of sources (news aggregation sites/tools rule) and even then, relatively small doses.

I think the problem is that the news is mostly boring, especially if things are ok, which is at odds with the corporate 24hr news mantra of keeping people outraged and tuning in. I agree it sucks. I don't watch the news at all and just have a handful of places where I read the news periodically.

We better brace ourselves because the Trump coverage will be non-stop. Like him or not, its really remarkable how much free-press the guy gets. He has the media eating out of the palm of his hand. If he really is an idiot, then that logically speaks volumes about our news media.

do is tweet nonsense to get attention, and that they can get more attention
