Yes I use it here. In the BBS world, the only real advantage is another method of connecting if IPv4 were ever to be ditched. There are already some countries
that don't offer IPv4 unless you actually ask for it specifically, or pay more,
or may not even offer it at all.
For calling out you shouldn't have to do anything except make sure it's enabled. For receiving connections you would have to open ports on your firewall, just like you would do with IPv4.
